12/9 Fire Department Visits

REQUIRED WAIVER FORM FOR ALL SCOUTS We will be breaking into 2 groups for visits to the Wilmington Fire Department on Monday, December 9. They plan to lead us through the bay and station to teach Scouts about the important job firefighters do, as well as highlight how what their typical day looks like, the tools/gear they use, and the importance of fire safety. Additionally, the fire fighters will make sure to highlight fire safety precautions to take when camping, campfires, and wildfires as well.  Groups A and B are listed below. For safety reasons, the fire departments requires that every adult, student, and child attending the tour complete and submit a liability form. They will be collected at the start of the tour. Please find the form attached. Each participant must bring a signed form to the tour, or we may not be able to allow them to participate. Medical Forms due

Every year, all Scouts and parents participating in Scouting events, are required to complete Forms A and B of the BSA Medical Form to be covered for insurance purposes.  If you are new to Scouting or completed yours last fall, please print and complete the form and then turn it in to Julie or another Pack leader during the month of November (on/before 11/25).  If you'll be attending the 11/15-17 Camp Out or 11/22-24 Webelos Woods, all (non-expired) medical forms MUST be on file prior to the camp out. 

12/14 Wreaths Across America

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Wreaths Across America will be at the Wilmington National Cemetery, 2011 Market Street, Wilmington, NC to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud. Every year, the Pack gets to participate by attending the annual ceremony and then laying wreaths at gravestones across the cemetery immediately following the 45 minute ceremony. The ceremony starts at 12noon. Please arrive by 11:20am and park at the Temple Baptist Church, 1801 Market St, Wilmington. The Pack will walk over to the cemetery at 11:30am. 

2015 Pack Dues: Due 12/9

The 2025 Pack Dues that cover the cost of all advancement items such as belt loops, adventure pins, patches, beads, and end of year promotion neckerchiefs will be $75 for the calendar year. Payments are due on or before December 9th.  Payments can be made at  https://pack215.square.site/ .  This is a different fee from National's registration fee, which is due at the time of registration or re-registration and good for 365 days.

  Join the Pack 215 group on GroupMe for  the quick "text message" type of communications, especially reminders and day-of communications. We will still be using email and the "happenings" blog, but GroupMe will add to our communication channels. 

11/15-17 Camp Out with the Troops

We will be camping at Camp McNeill with Troops 215 and 1215! Friday, November 15 5:30pm to Sunday, November 17 10am Camp McNeill, White Oak, NC $15 per person to cover the camp rental and 4 meals (3 on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday). Banquet Planning Committee - We need volunteers!

A small committee of leaders and parents will be meeting to plan the Blue & Gold Banquet that will be held on Monday, February 24.  The committee will be meeting on Thursday, November 7 and Thursday, January 9.  If you are interested in serving on this committee to help plan the banquet, please let Julie know and/or come out to the meeting on November 9th at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall.
