Pack 215 Announcements & Happenings

Pack 215 holds a special awards night in celebration of the Cub Scout birthday in February each year. The banquet may be organized as a birthday party with special awards being given in addition to the normal Scout awards. The AOL crossover will also be during the banquet. All Scouts and their immediate and extended families are invited to attend!  This year, the Blue & Gold Banquet will be held on Monday, February 23 from 6-8pm in the St Mark Parish Hall. To cover the cost of food and decorations, there is a $15 per person charge . Our theme will be Under the Sea. We'll have pizza, cupcakes, drinks, and other "themed" foods. 

Build Day: We will have tools available for Scouts to come have their car kit cut out on Saturday, February 21 from 1-3pm . We will be located behind the Parish Hall building at the back garage. This is a drop in event for time with the tools available. We'll also have a few cut examples and templates. All car decorating should be done at home over the following few weeks before the Race Day. All racers will need to purchase a car kit from the Cape Fear Scout Shop ($7) although the Pack will have a few extras as well. Race Day: We will host this year’s Pinewood Derby on Saturday afternoon, March 7 . The derby will be hosted in the St Mark Catholic School gym. The track will be set up and ready for an afternoon of fun!! What : Annual  Jack Frost Winter Camp Out. This year with Troops 215 and 1215! When : Friday, January 23 5pm to Sunday, January 25, 2026 10am.  Where : YMCA Camp Kirkwood, 2015 Camp Kirkwood Road, Watha, NC 28478 Camp Kirkwood is approximately 35 minutes from St. Mark's Church just up Rt 40.  Cost : Set based on the number of nights you'll be camping and if each person will be participating in the Saturday afternoon activities. Payment deadline is January 8 due to the camp's deadline. What :  Wreaths Across America will again be at the Wilmington National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud. Every year, Pack 215 gets to participate by attending the annual ceremony and then laying wreaths at gravestones across the cemetery immediately following the 45 minute ceremony. The ceremony starts at 12noon. When : On Saturday, December 13, 2025 - 11:20am - 1pm Where : Park and Meet at  Temple Baptist Church, 1801 Market St, Wilmington   Where : Ceremony at  Wilmington National Cemetery, 2011 Market Street, Wilmington, NC  Please arrive by 11:20am.   The Pack will walk over to the cemetery at 11:30am and typically stands near the large tree that's just across the roadway from the administration building where the bathrooms are.  Cost : FREE.
